Founded in 1921 as the American Air Filter Company, AAF offers a wide range of
air filters, dust collectors, and other air pollution control equipment to
improve air quality. Today, AmericanAirFilter® and AAF® brands are recognized as
the most trusted brands in clean air. The AAF product scope is broad: from
high-efficiency air filters, to dust collectors, to gas turbine filtration
systems. It offers the most advanced technology and skilled application
expertise for cleaning air in facilities and processes as diverse as homes,
hospitals, industrial plants, commercial buildings, schools, mailrooms and
nuclear reactors, as well as gas turbine and diesel engines.
RotoClone® Wet Dust Collectors
Type W RotoClone® Wet Centrifugal Collector
The Type W RotoClone is a combination dust collector and fan that will meet a
variety of applications. In addition to being versatile, the Type W is the most
cost-effective, high efficiency wet dust collector in its class. The
distinguishing feature of the Type W is the addition of water sprays to the
basic principle of dynamic precipitation. The spray maintains a flowing film of
water on all collecting surfaces
Typical Applications
-
Food Processing: cereal,
flour, rice, salt, soy bean, cocoa, candy coating, sugar, and many
more. Industries: paper, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, plastics,
tobacco, fiberglass, ceramics, and coal.
-
Processes: dryers,
cookers, crushing, grinding, spraying (pill coating, ceramic
glazing), ventilation (bin vents, dumping operations).
-
Material Handling:
transfer stations, mixing, dumping, packaging.

Type N RotoClone® High
Efficiency Wet Collector
The Type N RotoClone is the best solution to many dust collection needs.
Combining high efficiency, low maintenance costs, simplicity, low water
usage, and flexibility in one rugged, well proven piece of dust control
equipment. The Type N RotoClone has solved thousands dust collection
problems. Although the basic operating principle has remained unchanged
since it was first introduced, many design enhancements have been made
to provide greater efficiency and flexibility.
Efficient
operation is possible on a wide range of materials and particle sizes,
including the small micron range. The unique airfoil design impeller
provides such complete scrubbing of the dust laden air that fine
particles are thoroughly wetted, expanding their mass. This increased
mass makes the particles susceptible to the centrifugal forces acting
upon them. This enables the particles to penetrate the water film and
precipitate out of the airstream. Collection efficiencies of the Type N
RotoClone are equal to or better than any wet dust collector in the
industry with comparable energy consumption.
The Type N RotoClone is available for automatic sludge ejection, manual
clean-out, or sluicing; in sizes from 1,500 to 50,000 CFM; and, with or
without a top mounted fan. It can be tailored to meet your needs.

Type LVN RotoClone® Model
LV Hydrostatic Precipitator
The Type N RotoClone, Model LV Collector was patterned after the
standard Type N RotoClone Collector which has been installed in
thousands of dust collection applications since its introduction in the
1940's. It is an efficient, compact and economical wet dust collector
specifically designed for low volumetric flow rates.
The Type N RotoClone, Model
LV dust collector, is specifically designed for the ventilation and
pollution control of dust emitting machines that require air volumes
under 2,000 cfm. The Model LV collector can be close coupled to the dust
source or remotely located with connecting ductwork. The fugitive dust
from operations such as grinding, buffing, polishing, sanding, bag
filling, packaging, sorting and weighing can be controlled without
exhausting tempered air. The source capture and dust removal features of
the Model LV dust collector often allow recirculation of in-plant air.
This helps conserve energy and provides a clean working environment.

Type K Exhauster
Industrial Exhaust Fan
The Type K Exhauster was developed to meet the severe requirements (high
static pressure, heavy dust concentrations, and corrosive conditions)
encountered in the application of AAF dust control equipment. Because of its
outstanding success in thousands of air pollution control applications, the K
Exhauster is now available as a stand-alone air cleaning product.
Designed to meet exacting air quality
standards, the Type K Exhauster maintains high efficiency over a wide range of
operations. Efficient and rugged, the Type K Exhauster wheels are designed for
years of trouble free operation. Available in 14 sizes ranging from 7-inch to
42-inch inlet diameters, the Type K Exhauster capacities range from 300 to
52,000 CFM.

RotoClone Dust Collection Solutions for the Food Processing Industry:
Beverage - "The
fine powders that are produced from the blending of sugars and additives during
the beverage formation can pose a serious risk for an explosion. Dusts from the
manufacturing processes can cause volatile dust clouds, an undesirable, even
catastrophic condition for any manufacturing facility. Capturing this dust in a
wet slurry greatly diminishes the risks."

Bakery - "Baking
bread might be as wholesome as apple pie, but some of the baking process can
cause deadly explosions. Flour and sugar dusts that are suspended in air can be
more explosive than coal dust. Most any powdered baking material is capable of
spreading in the air and creating a potentially explosive dust cloud. Baking
dust explosions most often appear in locations where flour and sugar are heavily
handled."

Commercial Kitchen - "The
discharge of grease, smoke, and odor emissions from commercial cooking tasks can
be a concern, as well as complying with state and local standards. Over time,
cooking grease and smoke residue can build up in the ventilation system,
rooftops, and outside walls. This residue is highly flammable, frequently causes
fires, and can contaminate HVAC coils resulting in high maintenance and energy
costs."
